reading the Times Magazine reminded me of Jimmy Carter's Op-Ed on firearms...

I have used weapons since I was big enough to carry one, and now own two handguns, four shotguns and three rifles, two with scopes. I use them carefully, for hunting game from our family woods and fields, and occasionally for hunting with my family and friends in other places.

The Second Amendment doesn't say anything about hunting, but even if it did the only thing two handguns are useful for hunting... is people.

he's bad on the 2nd Amendment.
he basically lied about taking public financing.
opposed the "Surge" (arguably redundant since he's been right otherwise on Iraq).
a little too dogmatic on abortion issues.

fair disclosure, as Bill Maher says, I voted for the black guy. Midtown polls were quite frankly a mess. I'd happily pay more NYC taxes to employ competent poll workers.
